Find your way to
Newport, Pembrokeshire with these simple pointers...
Newport is located in the beautiful
county of Pembrokeshire, west Wales.
To get there from the M4
(about 2-3 hours from the Severn Crossing):
- Once Carmarthen is reached,
take the A40 signposted ‘St Clears’.

Stay on the A40, past St
Clears and Whitland until Penblewyn Roundabout.

At Penblewyn Roundabout,
take the 3rd exit on to the A478 signposted Clunderwen, Llandissilio
and Cardigan.

Stay on the A478, through
the villages of Crymych and Blaenffos.

After Blaenffos, turn left
onto the B4332, signposted Eglwyswrw.

At Eglwyswrw, turn left onto
the A487.

Stay on the A487 until
Newport is reached.

interesting Welsh place-names encountered and practice saying them.
To get there via Mid-Wales:
Two options are available:

Either head for Carmarthen
and follow the directions above, or;

Head west to Aberystwyth,
then south to Newport on the A487 (1.5 hours).
To get there via North Wales:
As above, head for
Aberystwyth then south on the A487.
To get there from Ireland:
Head for Fishguard, then the
A487 towards Cardigan.
To get there from The Rest of the World:
Get
to the UK (train, plane, boat or tunnel) and head for Wales; often
referred to as God's Country, although road signage has yet to be
updated to this effect. Then see directions above.
