The obvious and immediate benefit to anyone joining Velo Teifi Cycling Club is the new, interesting and varied group of friends you will meet.  Without exception, every single member is articulate, polite, generous, gregarious, funny and stimulating to be with.  That is, those except for the weirdos, freaks, sociapaths and other lycra-clad loons....

Anyway, in terms of cycling, the benefits to members may be summarised as:

• Regular (social) road rides, both at weekends and, during the summer months, evenings in the Cardigan/Newcastle Emlyn areas;
• 'Awaydays' road riding in other locations;
• Ladies-only rides (road and MTB);
• Trips abroad to ride 'real' mountains e.g. French Alps July 2009;
• Regular trips to MTB locations e.g. Brechfa, Nant yr Arian, Coed y Brenin, etc;
• Opportunities to gain recognised qualifications associated to cycling;
• Organised cycling competitions e.g. Criteriums, Time Trials, Cyclosportives, MTB Challenges, etc;
• Trips to take part in events such as cyclosportives, criterium races, MTB races, etc.

And, of course, you will have the opportunity to purchase your own VTCC cycling apparel and really look the part whether in the woods or on the open roads; cutting a magnificent dash in glorious gold and beautiful blue... I'll stop there, shall I?
