There
is a rumour circulating that a member of team VTCC may have got himself
into some hot water, having crossed swords with a local crime syndicate
(allegedly). Out cycling with his better half, the rapid approach
from the rear (phnarr) of an expensive sports car with little regard
for honest road users and the driver's apparent hatred of all
thing lycra-clad led to words being exchanged. When the words
were accompanied by gesticulations, the clearly aggravated driver leapt
from his car and proceeded to continue the argument. Shaken but not
stirred, our intrepid cycling heroes summoned the Boys in Blue.
Anyway... it turns out Mr Angry is a legal immigrant worker.
Driving a sports car? Hmmm? More like ruthless, gun-toting,
drug-selling gangmaster if you ask me. What treachery and foul
treatment awaits our cool twosome? Is there a contract out on
Colnago-riding dudes? Are any of us safe in our padded shorts?
